Essex Wedding Photography 2015 Round-up
As the year comes to an end I like to take a brief look back over the last year in a little Essex wedding photography 2015 round-up. Time goes by pretty quickly through the year and as much as I love photographing weddings, I rarely get a chance to sit back and see how the year has gone until now. It has been a great year for me, being there not only to photograph, but also to humbly witness the weddings of some truly beautiful couples as they start their married lives together. So without any further dawdling, here is my brief 2015 wedding photography round-up. See you all in the new year, have a good one!
Crabbs Barn is a favourite venue of mine, with this being the first twilight wedding I have shot there. A lot of work in a short space of time, but more than made up for by working almost solely in the orangey glow of the sunset light, heaven for a photographer! Also a good contender for best cake!
The Five Lakes Crowne Plaza hotel in Colchester was the perfect setting for MAria and Stuart, where Maria had gone to a lot of effort transforming the place to suit them for their big day. Great to have been working along side one of the best toast masters in the business, Mervyn Rutter, and witnessing my first bridal high five to seal the deal.
Back to Crabbs Barn again, this wedding will always stick out for me as the groom is actually an old school buddy of mine. All weddings are fantastic to witness, but are just a little more special when it is someone you know. This wedding followed a particularity nice pre-wedding shoot where one of the photos from that was used in the signature mount on the wedding day and is now hanging on their wall as a constant reminder back to their wedding day. Lovely.
This wedding was all about classic and classy, and what better venue for that than Friern Manor. An absolutely beautiful couple who were up for making the most of nay photo opportunity at the drop of a hat, such as the image below which was shot in the corn field behind the venue. There are not many brides who can have a bottle of champagne go off on them during their bridal prep once their hair and make-up had already been done and laugh it off quite so easily.
The last wedding of the year, and what a way to end 2015! Dannielle and Timothy’s wedding is one that had been in my diary for quite some time, having been booked really quite early in the day. But none of that time had been wasted and they created a fun filled fun fair themed wedding, complete with all the outdoor games (and plenty of cider) to keep the guests entertained. All held at Alpheton Hall Barns in Suffolk, not a venue I had heard of myself before now, but fantastically set up with many photographic opportunities. A great end to an even better year!
I do hope you all have had a great Christmas and have a happy new year! I look forward to what 2016 brings and hope to see some of you there!
