Alpheton Hall Barn Wedding – Danielle & Timothy

Alpheton Hall Barn wedding

Danielle and Tim’s wedding at Alpheton Hall Barn wedding is one that has been in my diary for quite some time, and one I was already very much looking forward to.  Just a few weeks before when I was chatting with Danielle about the plans for the day I got this in one of her emails.

…..We may have added a heap more since we last spoke, have I mentioned fireworks, a magician, and a home-made kissing booth before?! I may have gone slightly over the top!…..

Well if my excitement levels weren’t raised enough already, that did it!

My day with Danielle and Tim started at Kentwell Hall Barn, a secluded beautiful converted barn on the Kentwell Hall estate in Long Melford, Suffolk.  Both the bride and groom stayed here the night before along with the bridal party and used it as a place to get ready in the morning to be nice and close to the wedding venue, yet still able to be separated from one another to keep the tradition of not seeing each other before the ceremony.

Once ready it was time to head on to Alpheton Hall Barn in style, what better than a classic VW beetle and camper.

The barn used at Alpheton Hall has been beautifully restored and has a fantastic light and airy feel that is often hard to achieve in barn venues, but here made for a lovely setting for Danielle and Tim’s wedding ceremony and made for some great wedding photography.

Outside in the grounds is where Danielle had really gone to town, creating a whole fun fair for all the guests to enjoy, including a coconut shy, candy floss, cider stall and much, much more, most of which she had created herself.  There was no doubt this wedding was all about getting friends and families together and having a whole lot of fun!

Danielle’s flair for everything home made and rustic didn’t stop there, the second barn used for the wedding breakfast and evening reception had all been decorated and personalised with many personal touches.  From the home made table decorations to the provision of blankets for anyone that may have felt a chill later on in the evening, no detail had been overlooked.

Following on from the wedding breakfast which comprised of a buffet barbecue for the main course and make your own ice cream sundaes for desert, all the guests were treated to a fireworks display before going into the first dance also held outdoors under the stars.

What an absolutely fantastic day.  Congratulation Danielle & Timothy!

Danielle and Tim have also very kindly provided details for all the other fantastic wedding suppliers that came together to make their wedding day so unique.
