Crabbs Barn Essex Wedding Photography – Natalie & David

Crabbs Barn Essex Wedding Photography

A few years back at the first wedding I shot professionally I bumped into one of my old school buddies who I had not seen for many years.  Jumping forward to June 2015 and I am shooting his wedding, how awesome is that!

A moth before Natalie and David’s wedding we met up for their pre-wedding shoot where we spent some time walking through the woods of Daw’s Heath getting some casual and relaxed photos, giving them a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera and also provided them with a great alternative to a regular guest book.

The day started at the Blue Anchor in Feering where Natalie and her bridesmaids had stayed the night before and were doing most of their getting ready with their make-up artist and hair stylist before moving on to Crabb’s Barn where Natalie would slip into her dress ready for her grand entrance.

Meanwhile Nick, the second photographer covering this wedding was with David the groom and his grooms men as the guests started to arrive.

Crabb’s Barn is a great venue with bucket loads of character from the old oak beams and terracotta tiles to which Natalie and David added their own Harry Potter themed twists.  A beautiful setting in which to get married and has a certain intimacy that keeps the guests together without ever feeling crowded.

The ceremony was beautiful, with readings from friends and family, with the show being well and truly stolen by Natalie and her laced back wedding dress.

Although there had been some threats of bad weather early in the day, luck was on our side and the day turned out perfect with everyone mingling and havin fun out on the lawn well into the evening.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Roskilly!
